SaltSprings/Ganges

Fellows (intended to be gender neutral): I spent yesterday at the SaltSprings Marina @ Harbour's End and wanted to report my experience for those of you coming this direction this summer. Apparently I am only the second boat in since the new arrangement began. The advance reservation system worked flawlessly, though I personally do not like it as it forces me to plan ahead. The marina staff were readily available on 66a and helpful on mooring. As previously reported, the Marina is about a quarter mile further from town, but there are a couple resaurants and a pub very close. The rest rooms, showers and laundry facilities are at the top of the dock and very clean (laundry is expensive at $4Canadian per load). The docks are in very rough shape - comperable to the old Ganges Marina - and power (30amp only), water and garbage is limited.  All and all, it is ok.
