Crab Catching Tips & Tricks: Speaker Series 6/28
Captain Crabby's Crab Catching Contest is FAST approaching, kicking off on Saturday, July 1st at Winslow!!
To support your crab catching efforts, we're pulling together the VAST crab catching knowledge of Queen City Yacht Club for your benefit!
On Wednesday June 28th, we're inviting all members to a QCYC Crab Catching Conversation and we need YOU!
We need YOU if you're an experiened crabber who can share some tips, tricks and favorite techniques.
We need YOU if you are new to the club and/or new to crabbing and want to get involved in catching your share of the crabby bounty!
We need you if you've done some crabbing but want to step up to PRO level.
We don't have a guest speaker for this Speaker Series....our members (YOU) are the experts and we're hoping you'll come out and share your experience and knowledge. Don't assume someone else will be the Crab Whisperer....we need YOU!
You won't need to make a formal presentation. This will be more of a "panel" discussion.
Topics might include, but are not limited to:
Hot crabbing spots near Eagle Harbor, the San Juans and Gulf Islands, preferred depths, ideal soaking times, choice of bait, choice of gear, how to mark and find your pot in the sea of look alikes, "cleaning" the catch and prepping it for cooking, cooking tips, storage tips, etc.
To encourage your participation as a speaker on the panel, the Bridge has authorized TWO bonus raffle tickets to be entered in the crab catching contest per speaker.

We know there are some amazing crabbers, cleaners, preppers and cookers out there, of both the male and female captain persuasion, so please participate.
If your over at Winslow that week, we'll figure out how to get you over to the club from the ferry. I'm already picking up one speaker that evening, so I can take 3 more!
