More insurance concerns at Canadian marinas...

Schooner Cove Marina, about 10 miles north of Nanaimo.

QCYC has reciprocal moorage here.

Expect to be asked for proof of $2-million liability insurance. That's several times the amount required to moor at QCYC,

In our case, we have the coverage- but I believe that anything over the first million (on the agreed value insurance policy) would be covered by our "umbrella" policy,

We didn't have sufficient documentation, but there were a couple of very young kids on the desk on Sunday and they let us in anyway.

Note to self: When bringing boat into Canada in the future, bring information about personal liability policy as well as the boat speciific coverage..
