UPDATED: Not getting QCYC emails?
There's been occasional reports of members not getting QCYC emails (aka blast messages). This is due to many Internet Service Providers increasing their activity towards blocking SPAM messages. Each QCYC blast mail sent out goes to roughly 660 member destinations and this volume is enough to trigger some spam filters to block the message.
You can help prevent this from happening to your email by ensuring the below addresses are added to your "safe senders" list. We ask that you do this even if you are currently receiving club messages, as there's no predicting when an internet service provider will increase their spam filtering threshold.
It is virtually impossible to provide a simple list of step by step instructions due to the wide variety of email software and internet service providers throughout the membership. However every email platform has this ability and instructions can generally be found under the software's help function or via a web search for "how do I unblock sender in [ insert software name]".
Most software will ask which addresses are safe and you're asked to please add the following four;
Accomplishing the above won't reinstate messages already blocked, but should prevent it from happening again.
We appreciate your efforts and thank you for taking the time to accomplish this. The email system saves the club a significant amount of money and your compliance with this request is appreciated.
