Yacht Club Challenge Needs You Friday, February 1st @ 7pm

Queen City Yacht Club needs you and all of your fellow yacht club members to join us at the Seattle Boat Show on Friday evening, February 1st at 7:00pm so we can achieve the largest group photo taken at the Boat Show and win our third consecutive Yacht Club Challenge Trophy. Yep, we want a ThreePeat!

Here's how it will work: Please arrive no later than 7:00pm at the southeast corner of the main show floor, which is at the far east end of Aisle "J" on the main boat show floor. This is right near the staircase at the south end of the hall.  Landmark booths are North Sails, 48 Degrees North and Seattle Sailing Club. 

Queen City Yacht Club is providing limited show tickets at no charge and Friday night is Sails and Ales night, so free beer!  Tickets were handed out at the General Meeting last week, so if you took tickets, you gotta show up!  While hard copies are sold out, there are few available for pick-up at the show. Contact Elise at the office to inquire. 

We need your cooperation to quickly get an accurate headcount, so when asked, please assemble in neat rows and remain in one place and keep the noise to a minimum until our designated head counters can count you, then stay in place so we can pack in tightly to try to get everyone in the shot, which will be taken from the mezzanine above by a Boat Show employee. 

If you can, please bring a Queen City Yacht Club Burgee to hold in the picture.  We would like to see as many burgees in the picture as possible. You can borrow a burgee from Elise if you don’t want to take the one from your boat, but please return it ASAP or she will track you and it won’t be pretty.

If everyone plays nice, we can be done in 15-20 minutes and then you can have a few tiny beers and check out boats.

Please don't assume "other people will show up so they'll be fine without me" because the other yacht clubs are trying to steal our glory and they must be denied!  We need 200+ members in this picture!!
