In Memoriam – Carol Soffel

It is with great sadness that we report that Carol Soffel (#101), one of our most beloved members, passed away yesterday on Marth 10th. She was on of those special people we meet sometimes during the passage of our years. She was always joyful with a bright and charming smile, our Decorations Chair for over 25 years, always arranging lovely decor for special luncheons, dinners and parties. 

She loved to dance and did so at every Queen City function with a dance band or DJ, and at many other Grand 14 clubs that hosted log races. So many wonderful memories have been shared: "Sweet & lovely, big sister in the Tarettes, special and caring friend, sparkling light and lovely & wawrm lady". Wow, what a legacy! A number of members called her "Mom" or "Mama Carol"!

Much more can be said and will be – a memorial service will be held at the club as soon as the COVID restrictions allow us to do so. 

She is survived by her loving husband Kent, son Charlie & his wife Kristiie and granddaughter Harper.
