QCYC Speaker Series is pleased to announce the first of several special presentations called Behind the Scenes at QCYC.

In the coming months, alternating with other topics of nautical interest, you'll hear from the volunteers who keep your club running smoothly, so you'll know more about the inner workings of the club and possibly discover a volunteer area or activity you want to get involved in or possibly lead.

Watch for future presentations from: the club manager (bar), the ships store (swag), grounds (pretty green things), docks (heroes), house (unsung heroes), moorage (true unsung hero), office manager (lynchpin), Board of Trustees & Planning & Finance (the inner workings), the outstation (happy place), membership (lifeblood), the galley (yum) and a few more.

This month, we'll be featuring the editor of your Bilge Pump newsletter, Pete "Perry White" Delauney. Pete will share with us:

• How the Bilge Pump gets put together

• Where regular columns and "breaking news and pictures" are sourced from

• The "behind the scenes" actions it takes to produce and distribute the Bilge Pump

• How much does the Bilge Cost QCYC and where does the money come from
