Moorage Software Requirements
Moorage Software Requirements
(Posted at the Bridge's direction)
QCYC Members, please carefully review the following information as it impacts future moorage assignments.
In early July 2021, QCYC will launch a new moorage management software program. This program replaces the previous 2002 system which has served us well, but will soon be outdated. Members will find the moorage notification and acceptance process to be nearly identical to the old version.
However, the new system will automatically incorporate a pre-announcement screening process that will remove vessels from the announcement mailing list that are not in compliance with Club Rule requirements. Those specifically are, 1.) An annual electrical inspection with a PASS rating, 2.) Annual vessel insurance documents on file, as well as annual WA State Vessel Registration on file with a PASS rating.
Members are strongly encouraged to view your vessel’s current status by clicking on the following link https://www.queencity.org/vessel-qualification-overview or viewing said listing under the main menu title: MOORAGE>Vessel Qualification Overview. The list is set up in alphabetical order and displays the above information. A NEW feature on this page also displays the Wait List(s) your vessel is currently qualified for. You can view detailed information for each category by clicking on your BOAT NAME within this list.
What should a member do to correct any deficiency.
Electrical Inspection: The Club has record of all electrical inspections conducted since May 2020. Said inspections are only valid for one calendar year from date of inspection, after which the vessel must be reinspected. If there is an entry error, please contact Elise, who can verify from the previous records. If you have never been electrically inspected or your inspection is out of date, please watch the Club calendar for future inspection dates.
State Registration: State Registrations are renewed for all vessels on July 1st of each year. Please provide a copy of your 2021 – 2022 WA State Vessel Registration document to Elise.
Insurance Documentation: Per WA State Law and Club Rules, the Club is required to maintain copies of insurance documents. Please provide a copy of your most recent paperwork to the office.
Wait Lists: A member must first request addition to a Wait List they qualify for. After which the Moorage Chair, in accordance with guidelines set by the Board of Trustees, will determine if the vessel meets the requirements for those locations and add the member to the list (or notify the member if they don’t). Members should also notify the Moorage Chairperson if they wish to be removed from a particular list, which will cut down on unwanted email traffic.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in making QCYC a great place for boating.
