QCYC Regular Meeting info for Sept 8th, 2021

Members,

Below is the Zoom information for tonight’s QCYC Regular Meeting, which will also be in-person with a Hawaiian theme and Willie’s Hawaiian dinner. But first, PLEASE BE ADVISED:

There may be members attending tonight’s Regular Meeting, who were at the outstation over the Labor Day weekend and possibly exposed to Covid-19, after 2 members in attendance, tested positive Tuesday, 9/7. Although both individuals who tested positive on 9/7 followed the indoor mask mandate, I want you to be aware of these positive test results, and the fact that other Members who were at the outstation at the same time, may be attending the Regular Meeting. This includes Denise and me. Both of the positive COVID-19 tested individuals are vaccinated and report suffering minimal to no symptoms through their infection.

The CDC provides specific guidance about what to do if you are also vaccinated and you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, meaning a close contact has tested positive; you do not need to quarantine but you should get a COVID-19 test 3 to 5 days after the suspected exposure. The CDC defines close contact as being within approximately 6 feet of a COVID-19 case for a prolonged period of time. Close contact can occur while caring for, living with, visiting, or sharing a room with a COVID-19 case, or having direct contact with infectious secretions of a COVID-19 case, for example being coughed on.

The CDC also recommends that unvaccinated people adhere to a mandatory quarantine for a minimum of 10 days from the date of exposure. You should also immediately contact your primary care provider for additional guidance.

Masks are REQUIRED indoors at all QCYC facilities.
