QCYC Website Upgrade
QCYC Website Upgrade
The QCYC webteam, along with the Bridge Officers and various committee members, are actively engaged in upgrading the QCYC website. This collaborative effort is being executed with the assistance of our website contractor, Freelock. The webteam plans on fielding the new site during the first quarter of 2023.
The current website operating system is nearing the end of it's lifespan. It was first put in place in 2015 and still retained some functions developed as far back as 2002.
The new site will maintain the "look and feel" of our current site, but will run on the newest operating system with enhanced security and graphics ability. One of the goals is to field these improvements and NOT require a steep membership learning curve. Most of the functionality and menu choices will be in the same location as they are today.
An open request to the membership.
This is a major undertaking that has countless restructuring efforts going on behind the scenes. As such, the inevitable "bug" could develop in the presentation of a webpage as it's being worked on. If you're looking at a current page and find a column or graphic not displayed, please use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each page to reach the webteam and point out the anomaly.
This request centers on the the numerous page views and not a particular member's information. Rest assured, the core data (i.e. Vessel Profiles, Member Information, Moorage, etc) is intact and backed up multiple times during this endeavor. If you feel there's an error with your information, please use the normal avenues (office, moorage chair, etc) to resolve the issue.
More information will be posted as we get nearer to the launch date. Thank you for your support and patience.
