Ambassadors Needed for Weekend of 08/26-08/28 in Andrew's Bay

It is no secret that there have be noise and crowding issues on Andrew's Bay.  RBAW is attempting to take some of the steam out of the issue by having responsible boaters anchor and via tenders offer low-keyed messages to offenders. We'd like to keep the Bay open to responsible users. If we are unsuccessful, ordinances and even prohibitions are likely to follow. Rainier YC led with a weekend flotilla in July. Maindenbauer YC and Tyee YC are attempting to pull off a second weekend - Aug26-28. QCYC is asked to join the effort.  If we are able to recruit a group, RBAW will provide materials and gift bags for distribution. They will also likely extend invitations to Mayor Harrell and members of the Seattle City Council to observe that yacht clubs are working towards solutions.
