BOAT FOR THE KIDS SAILING PROGRAM

There is a great sailboat that could be used for the kids sailing program. It is an old 1969 Tbird with sails. it is in good shape and if for sale on craigslist. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/boa/4276851420.html This would be a good asset for the club and could teach the kids to sail. A lot more fun than a opti or a old laser. Anybody interested in a nice tax write off to start off the year? 26' Thunderbird Sailboat - $850 (Shilshole Marina, Ballard) image 1image 2image 3image 4image 5image 6 Hull #870. Built in 1969. Sleeps 4. Sails (main, storm job, two genoas, spinnaker) are in decent shape. Excellent mast, boom, standing and running rigging. Cushions are in good shape. Some nice parts worth well above the asking price. Comes with a 6 hp Johnson outboard that is a workhorse and had been running strong until the throttle cable seized a few days ago. The hull needs some TLC, but everything below the waterline is good and tight. She doesnt take on any water, only rain gets into the bilge, no saltwater. I have sailed her all around Puget Sound and a few years back she was a competitive racer in the local T-bird fleet. She sails beautifully. Letting her go so cheap because my wife and I are leaving the country this spring. Please get in touch by email if you would like to have a look. She is moored at N dock in Shilshole Marina in Ballard. Location: Shilshole Marina, Ballard
