Extremely cold weather forecast- Docks issues...

Temperatures are predicted to drop into the teens, or 15 degrees below freezing, on the 2nd and 3rd of January.

We will all want to be sure we have protected our boats against the extreme cold.

We also need to protect the marina.

There are various reports that some people refuse to disconnect their personal hoses from the waterline. Please reconsider. The amount of heat radiated by the additional metal fittings can actually make the difference between an inconvenience and a disaster.

We will need all of our best practices, along with a little but of luck, to avoid losing a waterline in these extreme temperatures.

Docks Committee will make sure there is ice melter available in all of the buckets.
