General Meeting (04-08-2020) Login Info
Below you will find the information for QCYC's 04-08-2020 virtual general meeting scheduled for 7:30PM. We are using ZOOM for the meeting. (See my comments at the bottom about Zoom Webinar)
Simply click on this link to join: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/910602690
If on a PC or MAC, it's a good idea to click on the link BEFORE the meeting, to download the Zoom APP, but this is NOT required. You can also click on the link on the page that says, "If you cannot download or run the application, join from your browser."
You can also join via telephone by dialing (253) 215-8782 When promoted for the meeting ID, input: 910 602 690
-Your audio will automatically be muted.
-You will not be able to display your web cam (Sorry, as much as we would love to see your face, seeing 100 faces for the meeting would be a bit daunting). But you WILL see the Bridge and the Committe Members who are giving reports.
-If you have any issues, we cannot provide technical support during the meeting. Try using the phone number provided.

BTW, for those of you who have heard that Zoom Meetings may be unsecure and in danger of being hijacked, you are correct.
HOWEVER, we are using Zoom Webinar NOT Zoom Meeting. Zoom Webinar does not suffer from the same afflictions as Zoom Meeting.
There's a fundamental difference between the two:
-Zoom Meeting is open to anyone using video and sharing their screens. The Zoom Meeting Host can lock some of these things down, but often does not.
-Zoom Webinar is NOT open to anyone using video and sharing their screens. In fact, with Zoom Webinar, the Host must deliberately permit individual
participants to share their video and screens.
We specifically selected Zoom Webinar because it is a much better solution for our situation and it is what official agencies, including the UW, are using right now to disseminate information in this time of social distancing.
Stay safe and keep your hands away from your face!
