Increased Winslow Winter Moorage Space

Several times on the active Winslow rate increase forum I'm commented about increasing Winslow Winter moorage space by adding 2500 lineal feet of dock space on the outside of one of the piers.  The docks are undergoing necessary improvements and this could help offest the expense.  Transient winter moorage is minimal except for 4 club sanctioned events--2 cruise ins of 15-20 vessels in January , the annual clean up in April (15 or so vessels) and the April log race with 20-30 vessels. During the past 4of 5 winters I've been at Winslow ; when necessary at these sanctioned events we rafted QCYC  vessels to winter moorage vessels without a problem .  During the rest of the winter I can't think of a day when all transient vessels could moor on one outside pier with very rare rafting--power availability is never an issue.

6 electrial meters would need to be added and a few club rules would need to be altered.

This could add up to $6900 to Winslow income for the 15 Sept to 15 May period, provide added security, and offer several members a fast track route to permanent moorage.

The only feedback I received was from P/C Scott Grimm that we had trouble filling spaces for this year.  True, one space ( 35 feet) is still vacant, but assignments were made in August--economic times have changed and I think several members would jump at the $3.45/ foot rate at Winslow if more space were available.
