Lighted Boat parade-who's going?

We're thinking of doing the Chet Gibson Memorial Lighted Boat parade on Saturday the 10th.  We've never done this before.

Who's going and what tips do you have for us newbies?  We're going to decorate the boat with lights around Thanksgiving.  We had an A/C outlet installed on the flybridge so we're good to go!!

By the way, do you just zip tie the light strings to the rails and stanchions?  Or does Fisheries have "marine" light string clips for 37x the price?
