Log In is weird

Is it just me and my highly evolved computer? (Most people turn on their computer with a switch- I have to start mine with a crank).

Everytime I try to log into the members only portion I put in my user ID and my password, select the "button" with the mouse and watch while *nothing* happens.

Everytime I repeat the process it works the second time.
