In Memoriam P/C Terry Baker
It is with a heavy heart that I must report that P/C Terry Baker slipped his moorage for the last time on Monday June 27th at 91 years old. Terry had a lively free spirit, had a great sense of humor, was decisive and strong willed and he loved a good time.
He served as our Commodore in 2002 and, with Marge at his side, represented QCYC in a classy manner to the Grand 14!
He loved to travel with Marge, he loved his boats (big case of 2-foot-itis) and had a personality that made most things in Terry’s life a great adventure! We had the privilege to travel and cruise with Marge – a wonderful time of our lives.
He retired as a Captain in the Navy Dental Corps after 30 years of US Government service. Terry leaves a great legacy to QCYC – his son Pat who is a QCYC log racer and member of Desolation Sounds!
A memorial service will be held for Terry at:
St Louise Catholic Church
141 156th Ave SE, Bellevue 98007
July 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM
All QCYC members are invited to attend.
Ken Klett, Fleet Chaplain
