Not-so-very-Long John Silver (Chuck Gould) and his beloved mate need to press gang some help for the galley

Ahoy!

Shiver me frames and scrape me keel if some of our galley crew, signed up to help with breakfast on Labor Day, haven't been forced to jump ship due to fouling cables with a dang blasted four letter word. ("Work")

When the good ship is short of hands, the normal custom is to shanghai a few likely lads about to fall off any nearby barstools; but we thought we'd better turn out an appeal for volunteers rather than try to roust the sleepy and/or the unwilling from their bunks in the wee hours of Monday, September 7.

We could use 4 volunteers. Breakfast will be buffalo eggs with optional nutmeg garnish, some flap jacks, etc. Not to worry. Buffalo eggs are not quite as exotic as they sound, and Not-so-very-Long John Gould will take the long walk off the short plank if the crew at large isn't very excited (in a positive sense) after dining on Labor Day breakfast.
