Not too early to look ahead to December...

It's only six weeks until Halloween, so we can expect the Christmas decorations to begin appearing in stores almost any time now.

While most of us would agree it's too early to break out the holly, the mistletoe, and the rotating electric tree- it's not too early to flip the calendar a couple of pages and mark off an important dates in December. Making plans now to participate might help avoid conflicts later on. It's always a shame when a member is disappointed because they "didn't know" a Queen City event was scheduled, and they have already agreed to do something a lot less fun on the very same day.

Start with the Seafair Holiday Cruise. (We old timers will probably call it the Special Peoples' Cruise until we're too rickety to boat anymore). Pencil that in for Sunday, December 6. Expect an email, or a call, or maybe both from the designated recruiter of skippers for this event...I can promise you will not be overlooked.  :-)   Bill Field is the Chair for the Seafair Holiday Cruise, and he has appointed one really stubborn old cuss who doesn't like to take "no" for an answer to round up participants. The easiest thing to do would simply be volunteer.

As long as you've got the lights up for Special Peoples', you might as well participate in the Chet Gibson Memorial Lighted Boat Parade. Watch for more information on the Chet Gibson parade very soon.
