Photo of Dedication Ceremony for 50 year plaque

Some Past Commodores from Queen City Yacht Club, and "pretty help"....

In June of 1966, the regional boating publication "Puget Soundings" printed this photo to mark the dedication of an anchor and plaque to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Queen City Yacht Club. That anchor and plaque are still located at the top of the entry drive to Queen City Yacht Club.

The PC's in the photo were Vern Brice, Frank Metz, and Ernie Wolfe; names probably familiar to some of the senior QCYC members.

The ladies, back in 1966, were considered accessories. They are identified in the caption as "pretty help". Assuming the women in the miniskirts were about 30 years old at the time, they would now be in their mid 70's. Not sure it's likely they could carry off the miniskirts as well....but, come to think of it, I don't look anywhere nearly as good as I did in 1966 either!
