PressureWashAPalooza - NOT for men only

On Sunday, April 12th, we'll be conducting PressureWashAPalooza.

What IS PressureWashAPalooza you ask?

This is an event, part of the Pride of Queen City, cleverly disguised as "work", with the stated intent of getting rid of all of the black and green growth that has accumualted on all the concrete and other surfaces around the main station club grounds this winter.

The actual intent is to allow you to show off your impressive pressure washer and/or your impressive pressure washing skills.

I have it on good authority that there already is some "dock talk" taking place, some "throwdowns" threatened and some "mine is bigger than yours" challenges being issued.

Now "bigger" can take many forms.  Will you dazzle the pressure washer corps with your "mad skills" or will you siimply dominate with raw power?

Competition categories could indlude:

Highest horsepower engine (I hear we have some commercial size machines arriving; better bring your A game)

Longest hose; yes, it does matter, if you're going to reach those hard to get places

Biggest wand; it's not the size of your wand, it's how effectively you apply your spray pattern to clean away the "green and black" without damaging the concrete

Largest area cleaned: it is all about the result, right?

I've been approached by several of our lovely lady captains.  The inquiry takes two forms: 1. Can you please find someplace for my husband to use his pressure washer....he's proud of it and doesn't get to use it enough around the house OR 2. Can I pressure wash too or is it an event just for the guys?

This event is certainly NOT for men only....we want our lady captains to join us - PressureWashAPalooza is for EVERYONE!  I have it on good authority that one lady captain is arriving with a "secret attachment" that promises to clean more effectively while removing the risk of making the dreaded "pressure washer line" in the concrete because your "stream was too powerful".  Remember, it's not the size of your engine, the length of your hose or the size of your wand that makes for a great pressure washer...it's how gently you can use all that power and still get the club grounds looking great for Pride of Queen City.  We'll do this on Sunday April 12th so it's done before the main event on Saturday April 25th.

Please let me know if you'll be joining us!  barryrutten@comcast.net

We also could use some help in the galley to feed our hard working pressure washer handlers a nice lunch.....maybe some brats?  If you can help, please let me know.

Gas or electric, man or woman, big machine or small.....we need and want YOU for a few hours to make the grounds sparkle.  Thanks!!!
