PROPOSAL TO AMEND QUEEN CITY BYLAWS
In accordance with Article VI of the Queen City Yacht Club Bylaws, the Board of Trustees has approved a proposal to amend Article III, Section 5 of said Bylaws. Commodore Margaret Krows has called for a vote at the Regular meeting on April 27, 2022, to determine the disposition of the proposal. To pass, this proposal requires two-thirds approval by the membership present and voting. Voting is restricted to one vote per membership. Proxy voting is not allowed. Members are asked to present member cards at the time of check-in for the meeting.
Current Language: Section 5: Dues. The dues for an Active Membership shall be the sum of $750 per year beginning October 1st. The prepaid dues of a deceased member extending beyond the date of death shall be refunded to the member's estate. Dues will not be refunded upon the death of only one member of a membership.
