Rough Livingston Dinghy Available
Rough Livingston Dinghy Available
The late Art Mauldin donated an old dinghy to the Docks Committee.
It's about a 13-footer. Fiberglass twin hull design. It has been rigged for console steering in the past, and some of that equipment is still in place on the boat.
Every time we have had the boat in the water, it appeared to be pretty much water tight. No guarantees.
It's on the rough side, cosmetically. There is no motor. I don't believe there are any oars.
This boat is too big for using as a docks maintenance platform. It's too big for most people to use as a dinghy- and frankly most people with a boat large enough that a dinghy like this makes sense, size wise, would want something newer and nicer.
It would be ideal for a kids' boat up at somebody's summer cabin, or what not.
According to club rules, the Docks Committee needs to make this dinghy available to club members before we dispose of the surplus property in some other fashion.
Please let Docks Committee know if you want to own this dinghy. It's free to a "good home", if said good home is somewhere other than kicking around common areas of the QCYC marina. Its available for inspection on the E side of Dock three, where the JR Sailing boats tie up in the summer months.
If there are no takers, it's bound for Craigslist. If that doesn't work, we'll use a couple of Sawzall blades and an empty dumpster. :-)
