Summer Cruise to Desolation Sound?

I am a new member and unclear as to the organized cruising opportunities, so I would like some help in pulling something together IF there is not a similar event planned. I have an older wood boat and desire to take her up to Desolaion Sound this summer. I have not previously been there, so would enjoy the opportunity to tag along with a group experienced with the area. It is my understanding (perhaps incorrect), that the Club typically makes such a cruise, but it not planning to do so this year. So, my question is this, are there members interested in such a cruise if it is without Club sanction? Recognizing that I am a newby, please do not hesitate to correct the above understandings.
