Swimming Critters in the U

Saw a few bigger animals swimming from dock 1 to 2 this evening at sunset. Too big for muskrats so perhaps beavers. 
 

Saw a similar size animal near the locks at Miller and Miller a few days ago. The crew there said it was a beaver. And no Nutria seen in the lake for 20 years. The state wiped them out?
