SYC Boat Parade Saturday Dec 19th

Seattle Yacht Club has invited QCYC to join them in their Decorated Boat Parade! It's Saturday, December 19th at 6PM.

The Decorated Boat Parade is a non-SYC event. Among other things, this means it is not sponsored by SYC, there is no fee to participate, and no swag. It’s a fun, family event self-organized by SYC members. Having fun while maintaining appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for this event. We will adopt the appropriate Federal, State and local COVID-19 safety standards in effect at the time of the event. You are encouraged to have only have family or socially distant guests on your vessel. Masks are required on the docks and in the SYC facilities. Dig out your Holiday decorations and spiff up your boat to spread the holiday cheer from the water to our fellow Seattleites.

Please join Commodore McConnell and SYC’s M/V Portage Bay (flashing yellow light) as they lead a single file flotilla for a 5 knot cruise starting in Portage Bay at 6:00 p.m. We will make two laps clockwise around Lake Union. Please follow M/V Portage Bay. There is no specific order to the parade and you can join or depart as necessary. Members will be present to help stage and organize the fleet as we cast off lines.

The cruise will start in Portage Bay at 6:00 p.m. and head to Lake Union. Robert Williams will be dockmaster for the day of the event. You can contact him on (425) 443-7637 or VHF channel 76. Rafting at the docks is not permitted per SYC COVID-19 policy.
