Water Access Restrictions near SR 520

Dear Lake Washington Boating Community,

We are writing to let you know about upcoming work for the SR 520 Montlake Project that will change water access and navigation routes in and around Union Bay and Lake Washington.

Starting as soon as next week, the week of Nov. 11, crews will begin constructing the new SR 520 eastbound bridge. For safety, some waterways will be restricted. The graphic below shows the construction zone for work that will begin in mid-November. The construction zone and boating restrictions will shift east as work progresses.

Please pay attention to signs on buoys and pier columns. As always, pay attention to conditions on the water and remember that construction schedules are dynamic and subject to change.
