We need to remember to be appreciative of the "deal" we enjoy on moorage at Queen City

Purchasing a larger boat has cost us our Queen City moorage, (as we always realized it might). The member from whom we bought the boat exercised his right under the moorage rules to retain his slip for six months after "change of ownership", and we are grateful that he he allowed us to sublet from him during that time. Now those same moorage rules dictate that we relinquish the slip to a member with a lower number. No problem, same set of  rules still in effect and fair is fair. Sometimes the rules work for you, and sometimes against.

All I can say is that for QCYC members enjoying the privilege of moorage at the club, be grateful. Be very, very, very grateful.

Covered moorage rates in the Seattle area are routinely double and triple what we are paying as Queen City members.

I wrote a check today for 1st and last month's moorage at a private marina that is roughly equivalent to six months rent on the same size QCYC slip. :-)

Looking forward to coming back soon- but please, please please......nobody die or quit the club to make that possible.
