Welding to Repair Davit Receiver

The bottom of the receiver for our davit crane has failed and I need to get a new piece welded on to it. I think that it should be farily straightforward but the folks I would normally use are no longer in business.

This is from our Bayliner 4588 "Saltydog". The davit system on the 4588 is definately not one of the boat's best features.
