Wind storm concern

Heard from a couple of concerned members about what happens if we loose power at the club, "we won't be able to get on the docks to check our boats". When we designed the system we anticipated this issue.  Should we loose power the dock gates default to unlocked, not locked.  So, should we loose power you will be able to get down the dock without using your access card.  This does not hold true for the clubhouse.  If we loose power the doors remain locked.  There are ample keys distributed in the club to open the clubhouse doors with the key backup. All bridge officers have a key, as do the security chair and his assistant.  There is a battery backup on the access system but it is only good for about 12 hours or 100 uses.
