Team #MindtheZone is working hard to prepare for the 2023 summer season on Lake Union!
We appreciate you sharing the campaign message with members in the summer of 2022. We appreciate your continued assistance - please help spread the word!
Team #MindTheZone can:
- Provide informational signage for display,
- Provide stickers and swag for Club members,
- Provide content and graphics for inclusion in a Club newsletter or social media post,
- Provide campaign videos, and
- Brainstorm with you on other ways to spread the word with members!
#MindTheZone, a campaign led by the Recreational Boating Association of Washington (RBAW), creates awareness for all Lake Union users - power, sail, or paddle - about the seaplane advisory buoys in Lake Union each summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The campaign’s goal is to educate all Lake Union users about the seaplane advisory buoys in Lake Union:
- At all times, be aware of the seaplane advisory buoys and where you are at.
- When the yellow lights are flashing, move 200 feet east or west of the buoy line to allow space for seaplanes to take off or land.
- Never tie up to the buoys.
