Service Referrals

My moorage facility is requiring all larger boats to install an isolation transformer.  The device isolates the boat's electrical system from the marina shorepower.  I need to find an electrician and the marine-rated part.

I found an affordable boat detailer who is as OCD as I am.   Angela came as a referral to me from several friends who use her annually, and they raved about her work.  I'm here to rave about her work as well.

Looking for a good outfit who custom makes canvas and enclosures for the cockpit of our Chris Craft.

Attached please find a photo of our trailer when we first got it with the dimensions of the bunks. 

The bunks can be replaced with vinyl sliders or what it came with wood and carpet. 

I would bring this trailer to whereever and would just need it on or before 10/1/17.

Please let me know who can redo these for me asap.

Would like to throw out an endorsement for Emerald City Diving, should you require any hull work while in the water. I recently employed ECD to change out the anodes on Sound Suite. I contacted them via email and recieved a response within one day stating they'd be in the QCYC marina area in the next week. We confirmed the agreement and I also specified that I would provide the anodes which were waiting in a bucket on the aft deck.

Can anybody suggest a good surveyor?

I am looking for a diesel engine expert to maintain my engines. This includes general sevicing and an eye toward failure prevention (e.g. replace hoses, belts, impellers,etc. ) before failure. My preference would be that he come to the boat. I appreciate all recommendations.

I am getting a vibration in the boat when I get to 1500 RPM's or greater.  The boat has twin DD 8-71N engines.  A diver looked at the props last summer and said they seemed ok.  I was planning on taking the boat to Canal or CSR, but I didn't get a good feeling when I spoke to them on how they would solve the problem.  They stated they would have to pull the boat out of the water, look at the props, then pull the shafts, then keep eliminating steps from there.  All this without even taking the boat on a sea trial.

I had the pleasure of finding Sorenson Marine in Rat City (West Seattle), just off Roxbury Ave. when I was looking for some parts for my Tohatsu outboard. It is a father and son operation. They are very nice and helpful. They also had a couple parts I needed for my old Evinrude. I'm not sure what all brands they work on. If you're tired of dealing with crotchety old "Crazy Ed" at Ballard Inflatables here's a good choice.  

Or "person".  Need to figure out my pressure system and have spent way too much time in the bilge. Ran it dry and have tried every trick I know but can't get consistent pressure. Someone who knows what they're doing can probably fix it right away!
